In Lesson 1, you’ll learn the basic Hindi words and sentence patterns needed for everyday conversation.
🪄 Key Words You’ll Learn:
-
मे (Main) → I / Me
-
हूँ (Hoon) → Am / Is / Are (used with “I”)
-
एक (Ek) → One / A / An / One person
-
और (Aur) → And / Also
You’ll also understand the difference between Kannada and Hindi sentence structure — for example, Kannada often omits words like “ಆಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ” (am/is) or “ಒಬ್ಬ” (one), but in Hindi, those words must be spoken.
🗣 Example Sentences:
-
ನಾನು ರಂಜಿತ್ → Main Ranjith hoon (I am Ranjith)
-
ನಾನು ಖುಷಿಯಾಗಿ ಇದ್ದೇನೆ → Main khush hoon (I am happy)
-
ನಾನು ಶಿಕ್ಷಕ ಆಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ → Main shikshak hoon (I am a teacher)
-
ನಾನು ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದೇನೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಖುಷಿಯಾಗಿ ಇದ್ದೇನೆ → Main yahan hoon aur main khush hoon (I am here and I am happy)
At the end of the video, there’s a practice exercise:
Use “Main” and “Hoon” to create four sentences about yourself — your name, profession, emotion, and nationality.
Example:
-
Main Ranjith hoon
-
Main shikshak hoon
-
Main khush hoon
-
Main Bharatiya hoon
